Of late, experts have expressed concern about Bollywood having a crisis time. Last year, with an alarmingly low number of box-office success the pundits of the industry were looking at 2018 with a lot of hope and so far 2018 has not disappointed much.
Yes, there have been some disappointments in the first quarter of the year, but any person who keenly observes the dynamics of Bollywood would agree that 2018 is proving to be a much better year for Bollywood compared to last few years. This is especially true in case of these actors who have been in the industry for a while now but has delivered the biggest hits of their career so far in 2018.
She is been the toast of Bollywood for a while now with major back to back hits like Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Piku . But it was only with Padmaavat that she became the undisputed queen of Bollywood. Apart from it Padmaavat being highest grosser and easily the most talked about film of Bollywood in the last couple of years, it has also set the rare record where an actress got paid more than his male co-stars for a Bollywood film.
The actor started his journey long back in 2011 with Band Bajaa Baraat and has been consistent in giving good performance both on screen and at the box-office. However, whether it’s in terms of praise for his performance or box-office numbers, Padmaavat is also the biggest success story of his career so far.
He is the one on this list who has had the longest career in Bollywood. Debuting with Ishq Vishk in 2003, he has seen his fair share of failure in Bollywood with films such as Fida, Shikhar or Fool n Final. No one doubted his caliber as an actor with films such as Kaminey or Haider, but unfortunately he only Jab We Met to show as his major box office success before Padmaavat happened to him.
You might not realize, but Tiger Shroff has already completed 4 years in Bollywood since his debut with Heropanti which came out in 2014. And before the resounding success of Baaghi 2 that he is currently enjoying, he hasn’t had a success as big this. In fact, given the dismal last year he had with his only release Munna Michael failing to create any magic at the box office, 2018 undoubtedly the luckiest year in his career so far.
