With Varun Dhawan 's October being accused of stealing the story, the dialogue on plagiarism in Bollywood has stirred up again. Bollywood excels in many things and set up a shining example, but when it comes to plagiarism accusation, there is no dearth of it in Bollywood. Every year Bollywood comes up with a slew of films that have an accusation of plagiarism against them. However, when it comes to audience, they hardly care about fair play as long as the film manages to entertain them and especially when the accusation is not proven. Thus having a plagiarism accusation in no way deters the success of the film.

Mohit Suri's superhit psychological thriller Murder 2 was accused of bearing similarities to not one but two films.While some claimed that film seemed a lot like yet another South Korean thriller The Chaser, people found similarities with the hugely popular Hollywood film Silence Of The Lambs. None of the accusations, however, was proved and the film went on to register huge profits at the box office
