Nine years ago, they were the biggest television stars in the country, and now, one is a politician and the other a movie star. Ronit Roy and Smriti Irani, former stars of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, one of the most succesful Hindi soaps ever, bumped into each other on a flight, and shared a picture.

Ronit Roy played Mihir Virani, and Smriti played Tulsi, his wife Tulsi on the show. Affectionately called Kyunki..., the show was produced by Ekta Kapoor, and ran from 2000-2008 for 1833 episodes.

Even Ronit, who has since moved on to acting in films like Ugly, 2 States and Kaabil, seemed delighted to meet Smriti, who is a Union Cabinet Minister now.
