‘Acting Was Never My Dream’, Says Rhea Kapoor

Actor Anil Kapoor has often talked about how proud he feels of his three children who have etched a place of their own in Bollywood. Though, Sonam Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor have gained fandom by working in front of the camera, film producer and fashion stylist Rhea Kapoor have achieved recognition by staying off screens. Recently, Rhea revealed that she has never dreamt of being an actress.

“Well, I think since I am the daughter of Anil Kapoor, in the beginning, people expected me to be an actor like Sonam, but I didn't as that was never my dream”, Rhea stated, adding, “Since my choices were unpredictable for critics, they did not take me seriously. In fact, I believe, when you start young, people assume that you are undeserving”.

Rhea recently launched a new high street fashion brand, Rheson, along with her elder sister Sonam. Continuing to talk about not wanting to be an actor, Rhea said that she is “too chilled out to be an actor”. The 30-year-old film producer added, “I cannot sit holding a crossed lagged poster; I am a clumsy person and a control freak. I would be a disaster as an actor! In fact, my personality also reflects on my collection”.

Well, it goes without saying that Rhea is doing a pretty good job even behind the camera. She is currently busy with the production of ‘Veere Di Wedding’. Her new fashion label is available to shop at Shoppers Stop.
