After Twinkle Khanna, Dimple Kapadia Reacts To Naseeruddin Shah's Comment On Rajesh Khanna

Naseeruddin Shah has widely been known for his powerful roles and silver tongue but his recent disgraceful statement on late actor Rajesh Khanna was not at all acceptable, especially for actress and columnist Twinkle Khanna, who slammed Shah for addressing her father as a ‘poor actor’. The unworthy statement was also lashed out by filmmaker Karan Johar. Recently, Rajesh’s wife and veteran actress Dimple Kapadia also stepped in with her loud and clear reaction. In an interview, the timeless beauty of Hindi cinema brought forth her much awaited opinion over Shah’s statement and here is what she said.

“I just want to say that while I understand that everyone has the right to their own opinion, the man’s career and legacy speak for him. I don’t need to over-emphasise his accomplishments or what he has done for Hindi cinema. You know them, I know them, millions of his fans know them as well”, Dimple stated.

A few days back, Mrs Funny Bones also took to Twitter to react to Shah’s statement. In one of her tweets, she wrote, “Sir if u can't respect the living ,respect the dead-mediocrity is attacking a man who can't respond @NaseerudinShah”.

In another, she wrote, “All due regard toMrShah's reality,mine=a man who loved cinema& did films likeAnand,AmarPrem,KatiPatang thank u folks for all the love”.

Shah didn't choose to be ignorant of the whole scenario and instead expressed regret saying, “I apologise to those who were personally offended. My intention was not to attack him but to talk about how a certain phase in history affected the course of Hindi cinema”.

Well, Shah should have been a bit careful while choosing his words as an old saying says, ‘words can only be forgiven but not forgotten'.
