Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Signs Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s Fanney Khan?

Bollywood’s ageless beauty and world’s most beautiful lady Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the epitome of grace. The diva, who recently made heads turn in the breathtaking blue Michael Cinco gown at the 70th Cannes Film Festival, is all set to concentrate on film offers again. If reports are anything to go by, the timeless actress has signed filmmaker Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s next, after doing Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

The film titled, Fanney Khan, will also star Anil Kapoor. As per a source, “Aishwarya is part of Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s film. It’s a drama. It’s his kind of cinema”. During the media interactions at Cannes, Mrs Bachchan hinted at finalizing two scripts. We guess she was talking about Fanney Khan. She said, “I liked two subjects already. So, as and when, we feel the need or when the time is right, we will share the news with you. But I just started listening to scripts now”.

Helmed by debutante director Atul Manjrekar, the film will be bankrolled by Mehra. Touted to be a musical comedy, the film is an official remake of Dominique Deruddere’s Everybody’s Famous. Reportedly, Kapoor would have played the father of a budding singer.
