Akshay Kumar To Produce Film For Nimrat Kaur

While in a conversation with DNA about his upcoming film Airlift, Akshay Kumar was reminded of a women-centric film that he wants to produce; and there and then the actor decided that he wants to cast Nimrat Kaur in the lead role. However, the discussions and narrations are yet to happen. If all goes well Nimrat will star in an Akshay Kumar’s production soon.

“There’s a script that I want to produce. It’s a woman centric film and I was just looking at her (Nimrat) and thought I have to ask her about this film. You just put that entire script in my head. (Looking towards Nimrat) Ma’am, we have to talk”, Akshay quipped.

He was further asked if he is comfortable to be a part of women-centric films, which are driven by female characters and have less of a male’s role. The Baby star said, “If it’s required, I will definitely take a step down. I did a film called Aitraaz which belonged to Kareena and Priyanka. For me, a film has to be hit and it doesn’t matter whether I come ahead or the heroine comes ahead. I don’t care how much my role in the film will be if I know it will be appreciated”. Meanwhile, Airlift starring Akshay and Nimrat is all set to hit the theatres on January 22.
