Akshay Kumar's First Look From 'Gold' Is Just WOW!

Every so often Akshay Kumar has demonstrated his immense love for India, be it via cinema or social media. After playing a life-saving hero in ‘Airlift’ and a Naval Officer (who contributed in changing the country’s legal system) in ‘Rustom’, the actor is now all set to play the lead in yet another historic story about the nation. A gentleman in true sense, the Khiladi of Bollywood is undoubtedly every director’s choice, especially when it comes to patriotic films.

Recently, Akki shared a monochrome first look from the upcoming venture, titled ‘Gold’. The 49-year-old hunk took to Twitter to post the picture with a caption that said, "Set out on a brand new journey, aiming for nothing less than #GOLD! Day 1 of Gold, need your love and best wishes as always :)". Khiladi Kumar is seen arraying a chequered waistcoat with a moustache as he gazes down with an intense look on his face.

Set 1948, ‘Gold’ is about India's first Olympic medal win post independence at Games of the XIV Olympiad, London. The movie will be produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment. Starring Mouni Roy as the female lead, the Reema Kagti directorial is scheduled for an Independence Day release next year.
