Ambitious Shahid-Vishal didn’t charge anything for Haider

While the trailer of the new Vishal Bharadwaj directed Haider is continuing to earn praises, we learn the lead cast and the maker gave everything they had. It is learnt that both Vishal and Shahid did not charge any remuneration for Haider since they knew it was going to be an expensive affair.

The glorifying locations, heavy action pieces, realistic characters and powdered with expensive shades, Haider looked as interesting a prospect as any. Vishal Bharadwaj who holds the legacy of adapting Shakespearean plays into cinema again relies on another masterpiece by the writer. The interesting revelation about them not charging any money is indeed a gesture to applaud. Shahid who is given ample scope to experiment as an actor here must not have wanted to slip this out of his hands. Even Vishal didn’t want to compromise on the budget and hence decided to not burden the cost of the production with their ‘heavy fee’. Confirming the news, Vishal Bharadwaj said "When he started planning the film, both Shahid and I agreed that it had to make money from day one. But, we also knew that Haider was a big film with a huge budget, an ensemble cast and lavish action pieces. Filming in Kashmir added to the costs. The only way we could succeed in our endeavour was not to burden the film with our remunerations. We kept the secret between us for a long time but it's finally out."

The social media stood completely positive in complimenting the trailer of the movie. Haider is announced to release on October 2nd. Interestingly Hrithik-Katrina’s Bang Bang is also scheduled to release on the same day. If the clash really happens, it may well be a ‘Clash of the Titans’.
