    Amitabh Bachchan Shoots For ‘Padman’

    Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has started shooting for Sonam Kapoor-Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Padman’ which is being directed by R.Balki. However, fans don’t expect to see him in the entire movie. Big B will only be seen in a cameo in the movie and will appear as himself.

    He shot at the reputed Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) – Delhi. “R. Balki shoots a film with Akshay Kumar and Sonam at the IIT Delhi, one of the most prestigious institutes of the world reckoning and wishes that I make a small appearance as myself for a few shots,” Amitabh wrote on his blog. He also shared some of the photographs of him with Akshay, Sonam, and Balki.

    Amitabh and Balki share a good rapport as they have worked together in films like ‘Cheeni Kum’, ‘Paa’ and ‘Shamitabh’. He even did cameos for the director’s other projects like ‘English Vinglish’ and ‘Ki & Ka’. “Balki does carry his sincerity at every step of his creativity and must have my presence in some form or another, and so here I am,” said the 74-year-old actor.

    ‘Padman’ is based on the true story of social entrepreneur Arunachalam Muruganantham who made his life’s goal of providing low cost sanitary napkins to poor women across rural regions in India. The movie will see Khiladi Kumar essaying the role of Arunachalam Muruganantham. This will be second time that Akshay and Sonam will be working together. They have earlier worked in ‘Thank You’ which released in 2011.
