Amitabh Bachchan To Grace Luxor African Film Festival In Egypt

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be gracing the Luxor African Film Festival in Egypt with his presence. Bachchan will set his foot in the ancient city on March 20. Reports revealed that he will be accompanied by wife Jaya Bachchan and daughter Shweta Nanda.

A source has revealed that ‘India by the Nile,’ will commence from Wednesday and will end by April 27. However, the festival will open with Indian flag being projected on the Great Pyramid of Giza. India’s Ambassador to Egypt Sanjay Bhattacharyya told PTI, “We are very excited about this event because football now is a national mission in India, which our Prime Minister Modi just launched a few weeks ago. “We now have a big programme to develop our youth team so that by the time they are grown up they would be a little better.”

Bachchan’s last visited Egypt in 2015 when he inaugurated the third edition of the ‘India by the Nile’ festival. The festival will last for four days and within these days two matches will be played. The festival will also confer powerful women with “Women of Substance” awards.
