Anushka Sharma May Star In Toilet: Ek Prem Katha Director's Next Directorial

Bollywood filmmaker Shree Narayan Singh is known for his recently directed movie ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. The filmmaker has also helmed the movie Ye Jo Mohabbat Hai. The auteur is currently working with Shahid Kapoor for his upcoming directorial titled as ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’.

Recently, the director also announced his next project which will be titled as ‘Jasmine: Story of a Leased Womb’. The movie is deemed to be women centric movie. It is rumoured that the movie will star Anushka Sharma in the lead role. Regarding the movie, Narayan was quoted as saying, “Jasmine is the journey of a girl from her youth to motherhood, of the eternal love between a mother and a child. I have always wanted to work on a woman-centric film and I'm able to do so now”.

On being asked about Anushka Sharma portraying the lead in the movie, the director further added, “I haven't even met Anushka or spoken to her. I have just announced my film. First thing I need to do is to lock a director for the project. The casting will be decided later”. The actress is roped in the project, may portray the character of a surrogate mother.
