Anushka Sharma’s 2nd Production ‘Phillauri’ Goes On Floors

Anushka Sharma’s debut production film ‘NH10’ garnered lots of praises from the audience as well as critics. Now, the actress-turned-producer is all set to bankroll her second project titled ‘Phillauri’, which has been rolled out on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi in Punjab. The actress revealed the news through a short video released on Twitter. 

Besides Anushka, the film will also star Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh and Life of Pi fame Suraj Sharma. Mehrene Kaur Pirzada is also a part of the movie. About the fresh cast of the film, Anushka had previously said in an interview, “Suraj, Diljit and Mehreen have added newness to the film with their personalities because they are not set in their ways”.

Revealing the details of the project, the Dil Dhadakne Do actress had said, “Wedding in the movie is just the backdrop of the story. Phillauri has got shades of drama, craziness and really interesting characters. It is romantic, fun and at the same time very intriguing. The story is set in Phillaur district of Punjab”. The movie will be directed by debutant Anshai Lal.
