B-Town showers birthday wishes on Shashi Kapoor

Mumbai Bollywood celebrities wished veteran actor Shashi Kapoor on his birthday through social networking site Twitter, who turned 74 on March 18. Big B wrote, "Shashi ji's birthday today... spent some of the most wonderful moments in films we did together... good health and happiness to him!" Shabana Azmi tweeted, "Shashi Kapoor has built an institution in Prithvi Theatre and fulfilled his father Prithviraj and wife Jennifer's dream. He earned from film and gave back to the film industry.He produced 36 Chowringhee Lane, Junoon, Vijeta, Kalyug and was the best producer." Shashi Kapoor started his carrier as a child artist in Aag and Awaara and gave hits like Dharmputra, Waqt, Haseena Maan Jayegi, Aa Gale Lag Jaa, Roti Kapda Aur Makan, Deewaar, Kabhi Kabhie, Trishul, Satyam Shivam Sundaram and Namak Halaal. He is the first Indian who acted in English movies like Shakespeare Wallah, Pretty Polly and Heat and Dust.
