Bappi Lahiri is excited to be a part of Gunday

Veteran singer-composer Bappi Da has been roped in by Yash Raj Films to croon for Gunday. Bappi said, “I’m excited to be a part of Gunday. I’ve worked with Sohail’s father, Sameer, many years ago and now I’m working with his talented son. This song is a guaranteed crowd-puller, especially in Kolkata.” It is being reported that the makers were looking to create a cabaret track, set in Kolkata of 1980’s and for this Bappi Da became an inevitable preference.

Gunday is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, featuring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan in the lead roles. The film is slated to release on February 14 next year. The song crooned by Bappi Da will introduce Priyanka Chopra in the flick. The composer Sohail Sen said that they want this soundtrack to be exceptional and now with Bappi Da singing the song, it is definitely going to rock, especially among the people of Kolkata.
