Bhumi Pednekar Won't Star In Gustakhiyan

Following the speculations of Dum Laga Ke Haisha actress Bhumi Pednekar being roped in for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next production venture ‘Gustakhiyan’, a spokesperson for the actress has come forward and negated these rumours. The speculations also stated that the actress will be present in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next directorial as well. The actress was lauded for her performance as the oversized wife of Ayushmann Khurrana in the Sharat Katariya directorial.

“There have been several rumours doing the round that Bhumi will be starring in Gustakhiyan and Mr Bhansali’s next directorial venture, however there is no truth to this, as she has not been offered either of these films”, the spokesperson shared. ‘Gustakhiyan’ has been in talks ever since ‘Bajirao Mastani’ proved to be a huge success. The actress does not have a lot of experience in the industry but showed great potential through her performance in ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’. Maybe this was one of the reasons why the speculations stirred up in the first place.

Bhumi is currenty busy with her next project ‘Manmarziyan’ where she will once again share screen space with Ayushmann. The movie is being directed by Sameer Sharma and also stars Vicky Kaushal. ‘Manmarziyan’ will be released on September 23.
