Big B takes the mike again!! This time for Shamitabh

Amitabh Bachchan in the span of his cinematic career has sung a number of times. Filmmakers believe his style of singing adds to the variety and creates a much needed texture in the album. Well, they cannot be termed wrong since almost all songs sung by Mr. Bachchan have been chartbusters.

The latest here is Director R. Balki who’s made Amitabh Bachchan take the mike again. The Duo who recently begun working for their next project ‘Shamitabh’ have been friends for a long time and Big B’s stepping up for Balki is no surprise. Talking about the job Big B on his blog wrote “Oh and yes another session with Aadesh (Shrivastava) at his music studio last night did result in another song that I had to sing for Shamitabh…the finest quality of music from the genius of Ilayaraja, the magician from Chennai.” Amit Ji went all out praising the Southern composer where he added “How many years have passed since his emergence and how till today his prominence continues. The veteran, the master, who nurtured some very special musicians.” Ilaiyaraaja is busy composing music for Shamitabh and is very excited for the project.

Big B’s new look was recently made public where he appeared with long white hair and beard making him look an aged man. R. Balki has previously directed Amitabh Bachchan in 2007’s Cheeni Kum and 2009’s award winning Paa.
