Bombay Velvet has a perfect stage set

The most ambitious project by the most youth inspiring filmmaker of the country will unveil tomorrow. We’re talking about Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet. The film which has been in making for a long time will hit the screens tomorrow on May 15.

Whether or not the makers would be nervous is another story, but what has to be looked at more prominently is, will Bombay Velvet be worth the hype. Industry insiders and the press that has seen the film already are believing it to be a very fiercely made movie with Anurag being in the right zone. But the creditable word would only come out once the film is opened to the audiences tomorrow.

Bombay Velvet has a good stage set for itself. We haven’t really had a Ranbir Kapoor release for a long time barring Roy, where he had nothing more than a special appearance. With a hot pair like Anushka-Ranbir coming up with someone like Karan Johar as the villain, there are good reasons why the film should be watched. Bombay Velvet has been a pioneer project for Anurag and he would want this film to work. While he hopes the film works, we wish him all the best.
