    Deepika Padukone About Bajirao Mastani: ‘Toughest Film Of My Career’

    Touted as the leading actresses of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone are working hard for their roles, one after the other, in their films. Recently the Queen actress said that her role in Katti Batti was tougher than Datto from Tanu Weds Manu Returns. And now the Cocktail star has also revealed that her role in upcoming flick Bajirao Mastani was the toughest of her career; more draining than Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.

    The Finding Fanny actress told PTI, “It has been very difficult. It has been the toughest film of my career. I don’t like to talk about the effort one has put into, as eventually what is portrayed on screen matters. I worked very hard for this film. When we did ‘Ram Leela’ it was emotionally and physically draining film, but now…’Ram Leela’ feels easy and effortless in comparison to Bajirao Mastani”.

    The Chennai Express star also revealed, “We shot for 10-14 hours, did horse riding, fight lessons, dance rehearsals, dialogue session. Sir (Bhansali) was involved every time”. She added, “We would be done by the end of this month. We have three weeks of work left. After that, it will be wrap up on Bajirao Mastani. The trailer will be out next month”. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial also stars Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles.
