    Deepika Padukone denies rumours about Shah Rukh Khan

    Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has played it safe for Chennai Express co-star Shah Rukh Khan, brushing off the rumours doing the rounds. She has clarified that he has never asked her to ditch the promotional tour of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and she has also insisted that he will never do anything like that.

    As told by Deepika, "That's not true at all. Shah Rukh is the most encouraging person I have worked with. He is extremely proud of me and my achievements and he would never do something like that.” It was reported earlier that SRK asked Deepika to stay back in India to complete Chennai Express, while Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani makers have planned to take the promotional campaign of the film abroad. Deepika, while attending the People magazine’s launching event, didn’t spare a single opportunity in praising SRK.

    Deepika said, "Today, I am lot more confident and lot more comfortable around him.” Deepika, who made her Bollywood debut opposite SRK in Om Shanti Om, also said, "In the first film, I was just too shocked and too surprised about the fact that I have even got such a debut.” She went on praising him, "He (Shah Rukh) is definitely a friend. He is always been someone who I can rely on or call on any point in the daytime or whatever. He is just somebody to talk to and he has been that person for me in 'Chennai Express' as well." Rohit Shetty directed Chennai Express is scheduled to release this August.
