Deepika Padukone Reveals That She Wasn’t Approached For PV Sindu’s Biopic

It was expected by one and all that if a biopic is to be made on any female badminton player, then actress Deepika Padukone will be seen as the female lead. However, things aren’t happening as anticipated. The 31-year-old actress, daughter of celebrated badminton player Prakash Padukone, has recently revealed that she hasn’t been approached for any biopic, even though a film on PV Sindu is on cards.

Deepika reaveals, “I have never been approached for any biopic, to be honest. I do have a background in badminton, but I have never been approached for any biopic.” Deepika was being considered because she has played her bit of badminton before venturing into modelling and films.

On the other hand, actress Shraddha Kapoor is honoured to play Saina Nehwal on screen in a movie directed by Amole Gupte. However, for the project on Sindhu, no declaration regarding the female lead has been made. This film is being made by actor Sonu Sood.
