Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’s released date pushed ahead

While most fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of Sushant Singh Rajput’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, their wait has just gone on a little longer. The makers Yashraj Raj Films have apparently decided to push the release date of their project by two months since cricket world cup is scheduled to take place during that time.

The film was earlier scheduled to release on February 13th but has now been pushed to April 10th. The makers have given all their thoughts to decide that world cup might not be a good time to release their film especially since India play Pakistan on February 15th. A source close to the production told, "The weekend match is between India and Pakistan which is bound to affect the collection of the film as February 15 is a Sunday and if India and Pakistan plays on that day, footfall is expected to drop."

The Dibaker Banerjee direcred film stars Sushant Singh Rajput in the title role and is a story set in the Calcutta of 1940’s. The crime thriller detective film impressed a lot of viewers with its gripping and interesting looking trailer.
