Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin 2 to have Alia Bhatt or Shraddha Kapoor?

Producer Bhushan Kumar, Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt are all set to make a remake of 1991 super hit film DilHai Ki Manta Nahin which starred Aamir Khan in the lead opposite Pooja Bhatt. Where Emraan Hashmi has already been finalized to step into Aamir Khan's shoes and reprise his role in the romantic comedy remake of DHKMN, the female lead is still to be decided.

Actually, a conflict has been going on between Mahesh Bhatt and Bhushan to choose from Alia Bhatt andAashiqui 2heroine Shraddha Kapoor to be the female front face of the flick. It is learnt that Bhushan wants to rope in Shraddha for this venture while Bhatt’s wish is for their daughter to grab this opportunity. A source reveals, “Shraddha is like Bhushan’s baby, having worked in his super hitAashiqui 2recently. But it becomes a big news if Alia gets to act in it. Right now both Bhushan and Mahesh are taking a creative call as to which actress will suit the role best and they will go along with that.”

It’s obvious that Alia has an upper hand in this venture but when inquired from Bhushan about the chosen one, he stated, “I am very happy to be associated with Vishesh Films again after giving a hatrick withAashiqui,Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi(original one) andAashiqui 2. My father gave two blockbusters with them and shared a brotherly relationship with them. I too am trying to continue the magic and relationship which my father had. I have proven that withAashiqui 2and am now very excited aboutDHKMN2.” The flick is yet to come up with its director.
