Ekta Kapoor appoints Danish Aslam to helm Shakespearean tale’s gay version

Producer Ekta Kapoor has an idea of portraying Shakespearean tale in a different way and to execute that idea, she has Break Ke Baad fame director Danish Aslam on board. Well, Ekta wants Danish to depict Shakespeare's famous play Romeo and Juliet with a gay twist.

However, Danish feels homosexuality is a sensitive topic and to illustrate that they have to go to extreme ends to deal with it in their films. As per reports, the film will be more realistic than dramatic. The cast of the same is not decided yet as the project is in pre-production stage. Danish has worked in many award-winning flicks like Swades, Fanaa as an assistant director and his directorial debut as a director was with Break Ke Baad. He has also worked as an actor in Salaam Namaste, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic etc.
