Emraan Hashmi all set to do item songs

Actor Emraan Hashmi says hes open to doing items songs, but would take them up only if theyre different from others. "The conventional item numbers are very boring. I don't like the way they are presented. I will do something different," he said. Emraan, who played a light-hearted role for the first time in his recent release Shanghai, says the movie has showcased him in a new light. "Shanghai de-constructed perceptions that people had about me. A new Emraan Hashmi has been showcased. After this whatever role I play, it should be as unpredictable as this. I want to surprise the audience," he told reporters Tuesday.
