Farhan Akhtar's Role In Lucknow Central Revealed

Nikhil Advani’s upcoming home production ‘Lucknow Central’ has been making headlines for quite some time from now. Starring Farhan Akhtar and Diana Penty in the lead roles, the crime drama is being helmed by debutant Ranjit Tiwari. The film’s story is set in the backdrop of a jail with music at its core.

If recent reports are to be trusted, Farhan is likely to play the role of an aspiring Bhojpuri actor who is a big fan of Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari. Reportedly, the Wazir actor was avid to do some experimental roles and it was for this reason he chose to essay the character. It is also being said that Farhan wanted to connect more with the masses and because he felt the story of the film and his character connected quite well with the audience, he signed the flick.

Rumour is also rife that Farhan took a month to fit to his role. On a related note, the flick also stars Gippy Grewal, Deepak Dobriyal, Ronit Roy and Rajesh Sharma in significant roles. The movie is expected to hit the theatres on September 15.
