Fatima Sana Sheikh Reacts After People Called Hers And Aamir Khan’s Pairing in Thugs Of Hindostan Weird

This news may come as bolt from the blue for you. Everyone knows about Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan. A lot of you may also be aware that Dangal fame, Fatima Sana Shaikh has been roped in to star in the film.

Now you must be wondering that considering the age gap between both actors, Fatima would either be playing a daughter, student or something like that in the film. However, to your surprise the actress will not play a daughter or student of Aamir but his love interest. Soon after the makers announced that Mr. Perfectionist will be romancing Fatima, there were lot of people who spoke against the unusual pairing. This really annoyed the leading lady of the movie who said that they are actors at the end of the day and acting doesn’t see any gap difference between the leads.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Shaikh said, “I knew that people are going to think like this. I am an actor after all. Suppose if I hadn’t acted in Dangal, and got an offer to act opposite Aamir sir, I would have, of course, said yes. Even today, if I am asked to act opposite Shah Rukh Khan, I would stand in the frame immediately. When you have grown up watching these stars and are fond of them, you would definitely want to work with them. I used to get disheartened and sad (when I heard such things), because I thought, ‘Me playing his daughter in the film shouldn’t be the reason for me not getting the part’. There have been so many instances of (female) actors playing mothers, daughters and lovers (with the same male actors). That’s our job, and you keep playing different characters from different age groups. So, i don’t have any issues.”

This is not the first time that the movie will see unusual pairing. We have seen many unusual pairing in the past such as Amitabh Bachchan and Jiah Khan in Nishabd, Amitabh Bachchan and Tabu in Cheeni Kam, Nargis Dutt who played mother of Sunil Dutt in Mother India and there are many others. Thugs of Hindostan is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor) and will hit the theatres around Diwali next year.
