Fawad To Play Lead In Zoya’s Next Directorial?

Seems like director Zoya Akhtar has found the right man for her upcoming flick on Mumbai street rappers. She has roped in the much demanded Pakistani actor Fawad Khan for the same. But, the actor wasn’t the first choice of the director as reports of her giving a script narration to Hrithik did rounds earlier.

According to sources, “She loved Fawad in Kapoor & Sons and decided to work with him right after watching the film. However, she never had him in mind while writing this film. When Hrithik said no, she was in need for a dashing hero who could also act well. Fawad totally fit the bill”.

The sources added, “Zoya has briefed Fawad about the basic premise of the film and the two will meet soon and take their discussion forward”. The yet-to-be-titled movie also features Ranveer Singh who was seen in Zoya’s last directorial venture 'Dil Dhadakne Do'. Desimartini wishes that Zoya dishes out another out-of-the-box film with this one too.
