Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia on Zanjeer remake: It's different from the original

The upcoming remake of Zanjeer which has always made it to the headlines for all legal troubles is going to be different from the original one with more commercial elements. Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia has thus opened up on his new movie Zanjeer, the remake of the 1973 blockbuster.

Director Lakhia told IANS, "I'm very happy with the way the film has shaped up. This project is very close to my heart and it's different from the original. It's a commercial film and I'm eagerly waiting for its release.” He added further, "I am happy with the power-packed performance of Ram Charan (Teja) and Priyanka (Chopra). They have done a fabulous job.” This August the promotions of the film will roll out. While Ram Charan Teja reprises the role of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka will be playing Mala, the character of Jaya Bachchan.
