Filmy Friday: Bombay Velvet opens to average occupancy with god reviews

Anurag Kashyap’s most ambitious project to date Bombay Velvet saw the light of theatres of today. With much anticipation and glare, the film has not opened to an earth shattering response. The reviews however have been good.

According to the early reports that came post release, Bombay Velvet was good and strong in some centres while extremely week in some. Needless to define, the film opened better in urban centres and multiplexes. Critically analyzing, the film was received very well by some critics while most have rated it an average prospect. The opening weekend figure will be crucial in determining the mood of the people with regards to the verdict.

While Ranbir and Anushka are both being praised for their roles, film’s special element Karan Johar too has found a lot of appreciation. Let’s see how Anurag Kashyap’s first go at commercial cinema turns out. Good luck to the team.
