Fukrey: Music launch takes place at DU college campus

Innovations have been quite common to make it big in the film industry, be it with the motion techniques or the promotional campaigns. To take a break from regular promotions in Mumbai, Fukrey team thought of something new to make it big from their very beginning day.

The film’s music has been launched and the event took place in Delhi, to record a change. The youthful feel of the film was quite synchronised with the energetic ambience of a Delhi college, which was selected as the venue for the music launch. On Tuesday evening, it was all fun at the Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD) College campus in Dhaula Kuan as producers of the film, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba turned up, riding bicycles. It was time to dance to Sona Mahapatra’sKacchi kaliyanas the film’s cast also moved their body to the thematic Fukrey dance.

The four actors of the film, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Varun Sharma entered the show riding horses. It was specially designed for a scene in the film which would see the four actors entering a college on horsebacks. Farhan addressed the young crowd, saying, "The budget of the film is so big that we invested everything. With whatever money was left, we could only invest in horses and cycles.” The female leads of the film, Richa Chadda, Priya Anand and Vishakha Singh, entered the programme dancing to dhol beats. The music launch was a reunion of the team with the city as Fukrey was extensively shot in Delhi including Delhi University and parts of Old Delhi.
