Gulshan Devaiah to start Love Affair with Kalki Koechlin

Gulshan Devaiah and Kalki Koechlin has been roped in for Pooja Bhatt’s next production titled Love Affair. Both the actors got appreciated by critics for their brilliant performances in latest releases. Alia Bhatt’s mom Soni Razdan will handle the helm of affairs for the flick.

Love Affair is a true story based on the KM Nanavati case of 1959.The story is about a naval commander who tried to murder his wife's lover. Since the movie revolves around the elite society of Mumbai in the ’50s, both the actors, who are known for being perfectionist, have started preparing for their role. A source close to Gulshan says, “They have been watching a lot of movies from that era. They have also been reading books to understand the kind of language people used on a day-to-day basis. They are also visiting different designers to learn about the style that was followed back in the day”.

Ali Fazal will be seen playing the husband of Kalki and Gulshan be seen as the lover. Chandan Roy Sanyal plays a character similar to Ram Jethmalani who was the prosecutor during the trial of this case in the late 1950s.This is the second directorial venture for Soni and a big one with such strong cast.
