Happy 38th Birthday Ekta Kapoor

One of the most sought-after producers of the Hindi film and television industry, Ekta Kapoor turns 38 today. At a very early age she has gained a huge momentum being the Joint Managing Director and Creative Director of Balaji Telefilms, the popular production company.

Daughter of veteran Bollywood actor Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor, Ekta became a household name with her numerous popular soap-series like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kahiin to Hoga, Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and many more. She also received major criticism for her stereotypical saas-bahu serials and commercialization of family matters with highly-dramatic sequences and lavish sets and outfits.

But she silenced her critics by making it big in the film industry too with her successful ventures like Love Sex aur Dhokha, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Shor in the City, Ragini MMS, Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum and the most acclaimed film The Dirty Picture. Her recent productions were Ek Thi Daayan and Shootout at Wadala.
