Newcomer Arjun Kapoor, who is on cloud nine after the success of his debut film Ishaqzaade opposite Parineeti Chopra, feels it is not easy to fool todays audiences and only by the hard work, an actor can establish himself in the film industry. The actor said the surname or filmi background of a star has no major contribution in the success of a film. "You are as good as what you do in front of the camera. Nothing else matters, your surname, from where you come or where you will go ... The audience is very intelligent. It gauges you and knows if they want to see you or not," Arjun said. Giving the example of Band Baaja Baaraat actor Ranveer Singh, he said, "Ranveer (Singh) is a prime example of that. Somebody like him came out of nowhere. It just shows the audience wants to see good films and good work. Nothing else matters eventually".
