Here’s Why Hrithik Roshan Rejected ‘Rambo’

Here’s Why Hrithik Roshan Rejected ‘Rambo’

You all must be waiting to see the desi version of Sylvester Stallone’s ‘Rambo’ which will star Tiger Shroff in the lead. However, do you know that Tiger was not the first choice for the film? The movie earlier went to Hrithik Roshan, who rejected it as he did not want to do remake after Bang Bang!, which was an official adaptation of Tom Cruise’s Knight and Day.

“Hrithik and I have an equation or a relationship which is of great trust and respect, and the fact is that we are constantly talking about doing something together. We almost did ‘Fighter’ together, which eventually didn’t happen last year,” said director Siddharth Anand, who also directed Hrithik in ‘Bang Bang’.

Everyone was hoping that Siddharth would direct Hrithik in ‘Rambo’ considering that he has a history of signing an actor back to back in two films. He earlier directed Saif Ali Khan in ‘Salaam Namaste’ and later in his next ‘Ta Ra Rum Pum’. He also has a history of signing Ranbir Kapoor in his subsequent projects ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and ‘Anjaana Anjaani’. However, Siddharth said that the movie is not the end of his stint as a director and will most probably sign Hrithik in his future projects.
