Hrithik Roshan: Pope Tweet Was Unintentional

Hrithik Roshan: Pope Tweet Was Unintentional

Following the legal notice sent to Bang Bang actor Hrithik Roshan regarding his tweet involving the ‘Pope’, the actor has made an apology for hurting the sentiments of the Christian community. He tweeted, “Seems my tweet about His Holiness has led to misunderstanding. My apologies for hurt caused to religious or other sentiments. Was unintentional”.

Just recently, Hrithik came up with a response to the notice and said that he was referring to the Eurasian Ruffe, a fish which is also called pope, when he mentioned the word in his previous tweet. The truth behind that statement now seems insignificant since the actor chose to make the apology. The legal notice was sent to him by former Vice-Chairman of Maharashtra Minority Commission Abraham Mathai.

Does this mean less trouble for the actor or does the apology also have some scope of backfiring? Only time will tell. Hrithik has started working on his upcoming film ‘Kaabil’ where he will share screen space with Yami Gautam.
