Almost every other upcoming film is being promoted on the famous comedy show, Comedy Nights Bachao. The format of the show is to roast the actors that come there to promote their upcoming venture. However, it didn’t go down well with actress Tannishtha Chatterjee who went there to promote Parched along with actress Radhika Apte and director Leena Yadav.

Reportedly, Tannishtha was offended when a joke on her skin colour was cracked on the show. She lamented it the show’s format and walked out of the show. In a Facebook post, the UnIndian actress condemned the format and said, "To my utmost horror, I soon realized that the only quality they found worth roasting about in me was my skin tone. It began with "aap ko jamun bahut pasand hoga zaroor, kitna jamun khaya aapne bachpan se?" And went on in that direction. I could not believe I was sitting in a nationally televised comedy show in 2016 in Mumbai amid such regressive (I can't call it humor), and blatantly racist content".

Comedian Krushna Abhishek, who co-host the show apologised to the actress. He said, "If she feels offended by something, I apologise from our side. We never want to hurt anyone deliberately. Comedy Nights Bachao is of a roast format. Roast doesn't mean that we say just anything to anyone".

The episode will be aired on Colors channel on October 9.
