Is 'Padmavati' Getting Delayed Due To This Reason?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Padmavati' is in the news for various reasons. Earlier, the director was having a tough time choosing the cast and now finance issues are hitting the flick. If reports are to be believed, budget of Bhansali’s next directorial is the main reason of its delay.

Gossip mills are churning out rumours that the budget of 'Padmavati' is hyped to be a massive Rs 150 crore. This won’t be a surprise for the fans as his films are magnificent and visually spectacular. Since, the 'Bajirao Mastani' director has earlier also directed masterpieces, it won’t be a problem for him to arrange finances. However, considering the scenario where studios have been facing major losses, studios would think twice before investing Rs 150 crore.

Directed by Bhansali himself, 'Padmavati' will be co-produced by two production houses, Eros and Viacom 18. 'Padmavati' will feature Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. We just can’t wait to see the flick onscreen.
