It’s A First For Me: Alia Bhatt

With the not so great outcome of Shaandaar, Alia Bhatt believes learning and moving on is the best lesson. She acknowledged, “It’s a first for me. I’ll take this in my step and proceed onward”. Alia’s first four films Student Of The Year, Highway, 2 States and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania have been quite successful.

Shahid Kapoor convinced Alia to read for Udta Punjab, their next film together. She talked about the film and said, “When you get into a space like Highway or Abhishek’s film, the point is to step out of your comfort zone. I am not doing the film only because it’s different. I’m doing it also because I believe in my character and the subject of the film”.

Udta Punjab will star Shahid, Alia, Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh and is being directed by Abhishek Chaubey. The film will have four different tracks with Alia and Kareena getting one each. Maintaining a positive attitude and good spirit, Alia said, “I don’t think that one should pay too much attention to what is happening around. We are all happy people doing good work and just proud and happy for each other”.
