Janhvi Kapoor To Be Paired With Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty's Simmba?

Earlier it was heard that Ranveer Singh has been roped in for playing the lead role in the upcoming film Simmba with Rohit Shetty . However, there were a lot of speculations regarding the leading lady in the film. Actress Katrina Kaif was rumoured to be paired with Ranveer. But latest news reveals that Janhvi Kapoor has been roped in for the role.

According to reports, a source said, “Janhvi will be sharing a lot more screen space with Ranveer than Kajal Aggarwal in the original.Since Karan Johar is co-producing Simmba it was his idea to cast Janhvi. Boney had reservations about this project since he had seen the original and felt the heroine's role was limited in scope. But Karan who is mentoring Janhvi and launching her in Dhadak assured Boney and Sridevi that a hardcore masala film with Rohit Shetty is just what Janhvi's career needs as its post-debut booster”.

The actress, who is making her debut in the industry with Ishaan Khatter in the film Dhadak, will be seen romancing Ranveer in the upcoming film. The film is a remake of the Telugu film Temper, which featured N.T. Rama Rao Junior alongside Kajal Aggarwal.
