"It's a crucial scene in the film that will come just before the interval and John will be seen breaking glass. John hurt his hand with several cuts and bruises, and started bleeding profusely. A doctor was immediately called on the sets to tend to his injury," says the source. Confirming the news, director Anees Bazmee says, "I asked him (John) to take a break and then shoot but he decided to conceal his bruises with makeup and continued shooting for the scene."

Meanwhile, the film's action director, Abaas Ali Moghal insists that he had warned John that it's a dangerous act still John insisted on doing it.  "It was an intense scene and John wanted it to look natural because it's like on of the most important scenes of the film that will kind of hold back the audience for the second half," says Moghal.

A sequel of the 2007 hit, Welcome, the film also stars actors Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal from the original. It will see John romancing actor Shruti Haasan for the first time on screen.
