John Abraham’s Maiden Marathi Production ‘Savita Damodar Paranjpe’ Goes On Floors

We all know that John Abraham will be producing a Marathi film with Fugay director Swapna Waghmare Joshi. While the Garam Masala actor has bankrolled movies like ‘Vicky Donor’ and ‘Madras Cafe’, his maiden Marathi production titled ‘Savita Damodar Paranjpe’ will mark his debut as a producer with regional cinema. The latest update about the flick is that it has gone on floors.

John took to Twitter to post a picture captioned, “1st day of JA Entertainment’s Marathi Film, Savita Damodar Paranjpe. Have been a big fan of this story. Finally getting to produce it :)”.  ‘Savita Damodar Paranjape’ is based on a popular play of the same name. The play is a psychological thriller, where the leading lady is suffering from multiple personality disorder.

The film stars Subodh Bhave, Rakesh Bapat, Trupti Toradmal, Pallavi Patil and Angad Mhaskar in prominent roles. Well, we wish John strokes of luck for his project. On a related note, other Bollywood actors like Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra have also produced Marathi films.
