John Abraham’s Next Project Based On Pokhran Nuke Test

Actor John Abraham ventured into production with 'Vicky Donor' in 2012 and then went on to produce three thriller films: ‘Madras Cafe’, ‘Rocky Handsome’ and ‘Force 2’. The latest we hear about the spunky macho hunk of Bollywood is that he is all set for his next production venture, which will be based on the Pokhran nuke test conducted in 1988. The movie will star John as the male lead.

John’s production company, JA Entertainment, has collaborated with Rustom makers KriArj Entertainment, founded by Arjun N. Kapoor and Prerna Arora, for the project. Talking about the film and his association with the other producers, John was quoted as saying. “I have never been in a hurry to produce films and have been searching for subjects that are engaging... stories that resonate with the current socio-political and economic mood of the country. This film fits in perfectly with my pursuit, and I am also happy to start my association with Prernaa and Arjun”.

The movie will be helmed by Tere Bin Laden and Tere Bin Laden: Dead Or Alive director Abhishek Sharma. Reportedly, the director has spent over three years doing research on the subject. Touching upon working with John, Abhishek stated, “I'm glad to collaborate with John. His involvement as an actor and producer adds great value and credibility to my vision”. In addition, Arjun heaped praises on John, stating, “In spite of being such a big star, John is definitely one of the most down to earth and humble beings you will come across. He has established himself as someone who picks only meritorious content, and we are glad that we have been able to zero in on a subject that fits the bill perfectly”.

Scheduled for release on December 8, the movie is expected to start rolling from April 20. The script of the movie has been jointly penned by Saiwyn Quadros and Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh.
