Kajol Has This To Say About Romancing A Younger Actor

In Bollywood, age factor doesn’t matter. There have been many films where we have seen actresses romancing actors quite younger to them or vice versa. Movies like ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’, ‘Wake Up Sid’ and others have seen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma, respectively, romancing much younger actors than them.

While older actress and young actor jodi may sound it weird to some, however, actors do not have problem with it. And one among them is Kajol who also doesn’t seem to be affected if she is paired opposite a young actor. When asked from her about the same, she said, “It would depend on the script. If the script demands it, I would not be averse to it. I’m completely okay with it. Films today have different subjects and directors are dealing with them with a different sensibility and maturity, which is great.”

The actress laughed when asked which actor from the new generation she would like to be paired with. “Whoever from the younger generation is cast opposite me, should be more manly and less boyish. I won’t be naming anyone at all,” said the Fanaa actress.

Though Kajol has completed 25 years in the industry, however, she feels that she has a long way to go. She gave an example of her mother who started working at the age of 7 and has completed 67 years in the Hindi film industry. She further stated that she will keep on acting till she breathes her last.
