Kapil Sharma Remains Bigger Boss Of TV, Surpasses Salman Khan’s Show

For a variety of reasons, the statistics have tilted towards the comedy champion Kapil Sharma and he has defeated the Dabangg star with better viewership. Kapil's show, Comedy Nights with Kapil has also been able to pull more celebrity guests. Presently, Kapil Sharma runs his comedy show on Sony Entertainment and Salman Khan hosting popular reality show Bigg Boss on Colors channel.

The primary reason for Kapil Sharma's win over Salman is consistency. The show has many loyal viewers and the number suggests that even its weekend numbers have not fallen down.

The other shows that made it to top five were Savdhaan India, Taraak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain! Talking about the geographic reach, it mostly panned in Northern Indian states, with Maharashtra leading at 18.4 million viewers, Uttar Pradesh followed with 15.3 million viewers, where Punjab also featured in top five with 6.3 million viewers as per research.
