Former Union Minister Kapil Sibal wants to step into Bollywood films as a lyricist. The Veteran political leader has also written two journals of poems and also given lyrics of a romantic number for ‘Bandook’. According to Mirror, Kapil was not impressed with Lalit Pandit’s composition of his song in the upcoming flick ‘Shorgul’ so he replaced him with sitar player Niladri Kumar and Arijit Singh for playback.

Jitendra Tiwari, the director of ‘Shorgul’ said, “We wanted a qawwali for a sequence for which Kapil ji penned 'Tu hi tu'. But he felt Lalit's tune didn't do justice to it. He was working with Niladri Kumar on a project for underprivileged girl children at the time and suggested that we bring him on board”. He also added, “The romantic number is now called 'Tere bina' and features Turkish supermodel Suha Gezen in an underwater scene”.

He has also collaborated with AR Rahman for his studio album with seven singles in ‘Raunak’. The upcoming political drama features Jimmy Sheirgill, Ashutosh Rana and Sanjay Suri in lead roles. The music of the flick is composed by Lalit Pandit, Niladri Kumar and Arjun Nair. The movie is set to release on June 24.
