We all know about the infamous Uri attack that gripped its hold in India and primarily on Bollywood industry. Several political parties and organizations demanded a ban on movies featuring Pakistani artists. In a setback to Karan Johar, political party MNS also threatened the filmmaker that they wouldn't allow Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) to get released as it also features Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.

Following the threat and unrest, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director has to apologize in a video assuring that he will not work with any Pakistani artist from now onwards. In a recent interview, Karan revisited the incident and opened his heart out on the controversy. He said, "I felt spineless after having to apologise in 'hostage video' before Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's release".

However, the film was released on its scheduled date after Home minister intervened into the matter. ADHM starred Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with Pakistani artist Fawad Khan. The movie fared well at the box-office.
