Kareena Kapoor gets Rs 1.4-cr for 15min performance at Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav

She may have turned lucrative offers to dance at New Year eve’s parties but Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor couldn’t refuse Chhattisgarh government’s invitation to perform at the 12th foundation day ceremony of the state last month which fetched her Rs 1.4 crore. According to an official statement, the superstar was paid the whopping amount for a barely 15-minute performance at the Rajyotsav.

However, the sources said that Kareena’s dance show was scheduled to run for two hours but it had to be curtailed due to torrential rains. The statement, read in the state assembly by Culture Minister Brij Mohan Agrawal, revealed that a total of Rs 5.21 crore had been spent on actors and various cultural troupes by the state government for their performances at the occasion.

Other artistes to perform at the function were Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chouhan and Himesh Reshammiya.
