Lara Dutta To Don Producer’s Hat For Her Next, To Play A Single Mom

After receiving overwhelming responses for ‘Chalo Dilli’, actor-producer Lara Dutta Bhupathi and Vinay Pathak are set to reunite again. Lara Dutta Bhupathi is once again donning the hat of a producer for her next film in which she is playing a single NRI mother. The film will be produced under Lara’s home banner, Bheegi Basanti Entertainment.

Lara was quoted by a leading daily saying, “We at Bheegi Basanti Entertainment have been on the lookout for another story that had the same humour and emotional connect that ‘Chalo Dilli’ had and have finally found that with a script that Sushil brought to us.” “It is liberating and refreshing to pursue great stories and bring them alive on celluloid through challenging and lovable characters and most importantly to make people laugh and cry at the same time,” the 38-year-old actress added.

Helmed by Sushil Rajpal, the film depicts an NRI single mother’s poignant journey through the centre of India in search of the unidentified donor who fathered her son. Sushil has cranked the camera for films like ‘Laga Chunari Mein Daag’ and also, he bagged the national award in 2009 for his directorial 'Antardwand'. The shooting of the film is likely to commence by June 2017.
