Madhur Bhandarkar’s Calendar Girls Teaser is Out

The first teaser for Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming Calendar Girls is out. The director shared the trailer on Twitter, writing, “Best wishes to my 5 leading ladies as we launch teaser today!”. The movie is about the calendar models, who become popular after featuring in the well-known calendar brands. It will showcase the life of these models, behind the camera.

By the trailer, the flick looks close to other Madhur Bhandarkar films such Page 3, Fashion, Heroine, yet it is quite different. While Priyanka Chopra won an award for Fashion, Kareena Kapoor starrer Heroine flopped at the box office. All of the director’s films’ are based on teh same story line; a rise and then a steep fall in the careers of those associated with the glamour world.

The five female actor that feature in the film are from the modelling background itself. Sangeeta Ahir, who is the producer of the film earlier revealed about the cast of the film. She said, “Madhur has opted for five newcomers for the film and there is a strategy to talk about them at the right time”. The film was shot on lavish locations of Mumbai as well as overseas.
